Confession time: I’m a Torontonian, born and raised. But I’ve never been the biggest Drake fan. Sorry. I find him to be technically sound but he’s never been authentic to the culture for me. I still see him as the kid from DeGrassi and I have vivid memories of his struggles to break into hip hop.
But this post isn’t about him, it’s about his nemesis Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick is…bomaye. Kendrick has elevated beef to an art form requiring dissertation.
There’s no need to go deep into all of the back and forth but yeah, Kendrick stomped a mudhole in Drake. Like emotional damage.
TV Off is my joint. And that cry for DJ Mustard got my brain activated.
I immediately thought of my early days doing graf and I knew I had to do a version of one of my past characters.
Bringing the Mustarrrd Man tee to life was easy. It felt good to have a pencil in my hands again.
